Wot's it been up to, Precious?

Well...here's what's new!
With summer all around and not much pressing freelance-wise I am finally free to go an ink the next 5-pages of Alfonse and Domingo...so I did! I couldn't do it at home, though...I find it extremely difficult to muster up the motivation and willpower to do work when there's absolutely no pressure, sitting at home completely alone all day. SO, I've been accompanying my mom to her arts-and-crafts gig at the local elementary school summer camp and sitting in the corner with my nibs and pages, leeching off the energy and getting some actual-factual work done.
It's been good to get warmed up on these, and I think after this time, I'm quite ready to get some more story cranked out!

Bear in mind that this is all inked for color and yes, I know, I'm no letterer. But now the plot is begun! (also: the big rectangle in the last page will be the title and credits..."Alfonse and Domingo: Market Day" "Story & Art by Nicholas Kole"...that sort of thing)
Anyways, it's on to the next one! (well, fine, sleep first)
I hope y'all enjoy it!
Cheers!

Gettin' Itchy...

Sat down last night and had to doodle. I feel myself slipping into entropy here, and so I went off in a corner with my laptop and doodled these quick color-study doodles up...I hope I can keep up some energy and keep doing little speedies like this to keep my mind active, it's a good exercise! Anyways, it's still summer. still Vienna.

Enjoy!

Sommer in Wien

Hey all!
I'm back home in Vienna, for those wondering where I've got off to. I just got back from a day-trip to Prague where I snapped some reference shots of all the rooflines there :) My little sister's just graduated (with flying colors and much BBQ) and I'm lounging about looking for things to keep me busy. Now that school's over I'm going to be fighting hard against my propensity to sink into the couch cushions and never return...I'm trying to keep occupied with little projects and freelance work. The first of which is a little doodle I promised my very talented classmate Sindy. She wanted an Alfonse and Domingo sketch all her own and so:

Edit: Color!

Sindy's work is awesome and hilarious, it can be viewed here so go check it out!
Beyond that all's quiet over here...Hopefully there will be work to post, I can already feel the need to make some art creeping back in :)
I hope everyone's relaxing and enjoying the sunshine!

Puppet Animation :)

Hey all!
I'm back in Austria for the summer now, doing a variety of freelance projects. I just wanted to wrap up the last of my finals work and let any interested parties see what I've been doing. It's not much, and it's much less refined then I'd like, but here's my final for Puppet Animation this semester.
It's actually an adaptation of a short comic story I did last semester...you can view the original comic here.
Some changes have been made...notably the addition of the little crab and the new cameo of the world's happiest rock! :)
Anyways, I hope y'all like it. I had fun doing it...essentially it's just playing with toys when all's said and done. Any self-respecting legomaniac can find a reason to love puppet animation!
Well...Without further ado, Stranded:

Enjoy!
